# Custom Rooms: Invite Friends and Race Together

Custom Rooms are a great way to race with friends in **Racer 1**, letting you create a private space for you and others to race together. This is an exclusive feature where you can invite others to join a match, and you’ll both be able to race on your chosen track. Here’s how it works:

**How to Create a Custom Room:**

1. **Click the "Custom Room" Button**:

   * You’ll find the "Custom Room" button in the main menu. Click on it to start creating a match.

2. **Pick Your Track**:

   * Choose the track you want to race on. You can pick a random track or select a specific one for a more tailored experience.

3. **Create Your Room**:
   * Once you've chosen your region and track, create your custom room. The game will generate a **Custom Match ID** for your room.

4. **Share the Match ID**:
   * After creating the room, you’ll receive a **Custom Match ID**. Share this ID with your friends, and they can join your room using the same ID.

5. **Ready, Set, Race!**:

   * Once your friends join with the ID, you're all set! Race with your friends in a private, custom match.

#### **Joining a Custom Room:**

To join your friend's custom race, follow these steps:

   * **Leaderboards for Private Matches**: What if you could see how you rank in your own custom matches? We might be adding this to track your wins and showcase top racers.
   * **Special Matchmaking Options**: We’re exploring ways to make your custom matchups even more interesting with personalized matchmaking.
