SUD$ FAQ

For our Closed Beta we will be continue to build and validate MixMob: Racer 1’s in-game economy through our Subdomain Dollar, our multi-utility in-game token, or SUD$ as Raiders call it in the Arenas.
The purpose for this is two-fold. One, as mentioned above, it allows MixMob to continue to validate and balance the in-game economy for Racer 1 and that it is working as intended and is sustainable in its current form. Two, it allows MixMob to continue to reward our community members and others who help test the MixMob: Racer 1 Closed Beta in-game economy through an early IDO-like environment where SUD$ holders will have the opportunity to i) exchange SUD$ for MXM (MixMob’s future governance token) or ii) exchange for limited edition Culture Boxes that contain any combination of the following unique Masks and MixBots, random SUD$ distribution based on a percentage of fees collected, random and limited quantity of early season passes, MixMob digital collectible songs, and other surprises.
How many SUD$ do i start with in Beta?
If you were a Gen0 Mask holder, able to partake in Alpha V3, and/or have been a MixMob community member prior to Closed Beta then you probably already have some SUD$ in your wallet. All other players will begin with zero SUD$.
How can I acquire SUD$?
SUD$, can initially be earned in the following manner: (i) winning races within MixMob: Racer 1, (ii) limited free airdrops, (iii) successfully completing the Ghosting campaign, (iv) participating in Season 0 and community engagement activities (giveaways and Quests) in Discord and (v) purchasing SUD$ bundles in-game.
Are SUD$ replacing CDX?
Short answer: kind of but not really. CDX was the internal codename for MixMob: Racer 1’s in-game token. SUD$ is the public facing name for CDX.
As a Gen0 Mask Holder will I need to purchase SUD$?
All Gen0 Mask holders who successfully completed the Ghosting Campaign received 1,000 SUD$ prior to Alpha V3 PER WALLET regardless of how many Gen0 Masks are in that wallet, as well as the 10,000 SUD$ per Gen0 Mask that qualified during the Ghosting Campaign.
What if I purchased a Gen0 Mask after the Ghosting Campaign began?
First off, welcome to The Subdomain! We are excited to have new Raiders join the Uprising and help us retake the Surface. We did not forget about our new Raiders. If you bought a Gen0 Mask after the Ghosting campaign began and it was in your wallet during the snapshot to be taken on January 24th at 2pm EST, we airdropped you 500 SUD$ on January 25th to play MixMob: Racer 1 during Alpha V3 which, depending on how successful you were in racing and betting, should still be available to you to use during Closed Beta.
As a Gen0 Mask Holder why must I purchase SUD$ at all to take part in a Beta version of MixMob: Racer 1?
This is a topic we knew would get the most attention and believe us we understand where the question is coming from. Gen0 Mask holders, whether those who minted their Masks or have subsequently bought their Masks on Magic Eden, are our staunchest supporters and we appreciate you all more than you know. Gen0 Mask holders were able to play MixMob: Racer 1 in Alpha V1 (Closed Alpha for Gen0 Mask holders only) & V2 (for Gen0 Mask holders and their referrals) and provided extremely valuable feedback that was inserted into MixMob: Racer 1. Gen0 Mask holders were also able to take part in exclusive Interproject Tournaments against other gaming DAOs and projects and win great prizes.
The easy answer is this, as noted above, Gen0 Mask holders who partook in the Ghosting campaign or bought a Gen0 Mask after the Ghosting Campaign received their allotted SUD$ (formerly CDX) airdrop to play in Closed Beta. However, as part of testing and validating the next evolution of MixMob: Racer 1 we need to have an initial price discovery for our more complex in-game economy. This is where the purchasing of SUD$ bundles comes into play as we would rather validate as early as possible, not only the in-game economy but also that MixMob: Racer 1 is a fun and competitive game where players, Gen0 Mask holders or not, will purchase SUD$ bundles to play the game and take advantage of its other offerings.
How can I buy SUD$?
Racers who are looking to get into the action and do not have any SUD$ will need to purchase their SUD$. SUD$ may be purchased in bundles within MixMob: Racer 1.
How much will the SUD$ bundles cost?
SUD$ will initially be able to be purchased with SOL in the following bundles:
Small: 300 SUD$ = $3.00 worth of SOL
Medium: 1,250 SUD$ = $9.99 worth of SOL
Large: 15,000 SUD$ = $99.99 worth of SOL
Can I send a friend SUD$ so they can play Racer 1?
SUD$ are part of a closed loop within the MixMob token economy and are initially being released as a unidirectional token, which means SUD$ will only be able to interact with MixMob: Racer 1, and as such players are not able to send other players SUD$ from their Web3 wallet. If your friend would like to play MixMob: Racer 1 during Closed Beta they will need to purchase one of the SUD$ bundles.
What can i do with SUD$ in Closed Beta?
The utility of SUD$ reaches beyond just entering Arenas and being rewarded as Arena winnings. Currently, during Closed Beta, SUD$ will also be used to participate in our betting system where players will be able to spectate a live random race in MixMob: Racer 1 and place a 50 SUD$ bet on who will win the race. Those who correctly bet on the race winner will receive their initial 50 SUD$ back plus a pro-rated portion of the winning SUD$ pool.
Additionally, SUD$, purchased or won during Closed Beta, will be able to be converted or redeemed ahead of the full release of MixMob: Racer 1 later in 2023. This may occur in any of the following ways: (i) SUD$ may be converted to our governance token, MXM, at a pre-determined conversion rate or (ii) SUD$ may be converted into Culture Boxes that contain random rewards such as exclusive MixBot traits, cards, limited quantity MixMob: Racer 1 season passes, MixMob digital collectible songs, and other surprises. The above ways of conversion/redemption are not final and subject to change depending on the state of MixMob: Racer 1’s in-game economy during and after Closed Beta. Additional methods may be added.
How many SUD$ will it cost to enter an Arena during Beta?
We will be remixing the Arena entry fees for Closed Beta and the Arena structures. For Closed Beta we will have a Hero Arena and a Degen Arena. The break down is as follows:
The Hero Arena will be played on Phantom Trial and will consist of the familiar 5 wins 2 losses structure you were used to Alpha V3. Entry fee for the Hero Arena will be 150 SUD$. Each win you will be rewarded 50 SUD$ and if you are able to win 5 races before losing 2 you will be rewarded with 170 SUD$ for a total Arena prize of 420 SUD$.
The Degen Arena is a more cutthroat structure for those that really believe in No Risk’it No Bisquit.” The Degen Arena will be played on Neolympus and will consist of a 5 wins 1 loss structure. Entry fee for the Degen Arena will be 150 SUD$. Each win you will be rewarded 75 SUD$ and if you are able to win 5 races before losing 1 you will be rewarded with 420 SUD$ for a total Arena prize of 795 SUD$.
