Factions: Unique Abilities and Strategies

In MixMob: Racer 1, every NFT MixBot belongs to one of three factions, each with its own set of unique active skills, passive abilities, and strategies. These factions add a layer of complexity and depth to the gameplay, allowing players to tailor their racing experience to their preferred playstyle.
Styler: Fast and aggressive, Stylers excel in harassing opponents with speed and quick attacks. They specialize in disrupting others while maintaining high mobility. Their unique active and passive abilities make them dangerous in short bursts, but they can struggle in prolonged races.
Boff: The Boffs are connected to the mysterious and chaotic world of Glitchspace, allowing them to disrupt the laws of physics and reality. They specialize in evasion and controlling the flow of the race with unpredictable movements.
Tek: Teks focus on power and upgrades, using their tech-savvy nature to enhance their performance. They rely on heavy armor and devastating attacks to overwhelm their opponents, with abilities designed to give them the upper hand in combat.
Playstyle: Quick, evasive, and disruptive.
Active Skill: Tag A low-cost, low-damage spray of paint that shoots a short distance. It’s primarily used for harassing nearby enemies. If it hits an enemy, their card hand and pulse will be covered with a graffiti tag. While the opponent can still use abilities, they will have to remember what each ability is.
Passive Skill: Nimble Frame Nimble Frame gives Stylers an edge in quick, tight races by improving agility and recovery. It reduces the health cost compared to the Core Boost and has a shorter cooldown, allowing Stylers to dodge and move swiftly through difficult obstacles or high-pressure moments.
Difference between Nimble Frame and Core Boost:
Nimble Frame is exclusive to Stylers and provides agility with a lower health cost of 20 and a cooldown of 2 seconds, designed to make Stylers more responsive in races.
Core Boost is available to all MixBots and provides performance enhancements across the board but at a higher health cost (25) and with a longer cooldown (4 seconds), making it a more general-purpose boost for all types of races.

Playstyle: Strategic, evasive, and chaotic.
Active Skill: Blink The Boff disappears into Glitchspace for 2 seconds. During this time, they cannot be hit by attacks (except homing or bombardment). They also do not generate pulse, gain speed boosts, or hit obstacles. This is especially useful for evading directional attacks.
Passive Skill: Quantic Destabilizer When the Boff inflicts 15 or more damage, the target becomes marked. The marks last for 10 seconds unless hit again. If three marks accumulate, they consume all the marks, stunning the target for 1 second. If the target is KOed, the Boff gains a 30% speed boost for 3 seconds.
Playstyle: Powerful, tactical, and defensive.
Active Skill: Scrap Gauntlet The Tek consumes all stacks of Tek-PL8 Armor to perform an Area of Effect (AOE) attack in a triangle formation. This attack damages all enemies in the path by 10 damage + the amount of armor consumed. If the Tek successfully KOs an opponent, they are refunded 20% of the armor used.
Passive Skill: Tek-PL8 Armor Whenever a Tek inflicts over 15 damage on an opponent, they drop Scrap Metal pickups onto the track. Teks can collect these, gaining temporary Tek-PL8 Armor that grants additional health and a speed boost for 2 seconds. This armor doesn’t result in momentum drops, allowing Teks to keep their speed up.

When choosing a MixBot faction, it’s essential to think about your preferred racing style and the tactics you want to employ in each race. Whether you prefer speed, evasion, or power, each faction brings its own unique flavor and strategy to the table.
How to Choose a Faction:
Stylers are best for players who love high-speed aggression and disrupting opponents early in the race.
Boffs are ideal for those who prefer to outsmart their opponents with unpredictability and evasion.
Teks suit players who want to take the damage, play the long game, and rely on powerful attacks and defense.
